Decorative plate

Nuremberg, Germany, 17th century

Cast pewter. In the centre of the circular well is a medallion of an equestrian figure and the inscription “FERDINAND:II.DG/RO:IM:S:A:”. The rim is lined with medallions of equestrian portraits of the Habsburg monarchs flanked by mascarons. The initials “EH” are on the reverse side of the plate.

Marked with the city and the guild mark in a medallion.
